STUDY AND DEVELOPMENT OF A CIJ CODER FOR THE INDUSTRY 4.0
Description of the project
The project has allowed to create a new and innovative inkjet coder (CIJ) for printing on primary products and packaging. Its functionalities have been developed according to the requirements of Industry 4.0. Together with it, a range of high performing and environmentally sustainable inks has been formulated.
The project has achieved the primary objective of developing a product which is able to answer the needs of an increasingly demanding market. For this reason, the coder can provide value-added services to customers, transparently integrating into the factory system 4.0. The guidelines of design and development have been: simplicity, modularity, interconnection, automatic control and environmental sustainability.
The activity of research and development has led to the creation of a product that accurately reflects the targeted key aspects, has concretely exploited the new digital manufacturing technological trends and has fully married the new Industry 4.0 technological achievements. Moreover, the effort made has led to a fruitful collaboration with different companies in the territory, which will benefit from it over time.
